India's PARIKRAMA Comments On DOWNLOAD Festival Appearance

Members of the Indian heavy rock band PARIKRAMA recently spoke to DNAIndia.com about their appearance at this year's Download festival in England alongside IRON MAIDEN, EVANESCENCE and DREAM THEATER, among others.

Commented keyboardist Subir Malik: "The experience was fantastic; we were put up in greenrooms next to EVANESCENCE and MEGADETH, and we were pretty [psyched] about being at the show. The response from the crowd was great and the experience of performing at the exclusive IRON MAIDEN show is something that's unforgettable."

"The MAIDEN guys have a great sense of humor. And though they are into rock and roll, they don't smoke or anything. The one thing I'll never forget about the festival is the kind of mosh pit that I saw during the performance; it's the biggest I've ever seen in my life."

Vocalist Nitin Malik added, "We caught performances by PAPA ROACH, IRON MAIDEN, EVANESCENCE and LAMB OF GOD. I spoke to Amy Lee for a couple of minutes. These experiences just widen your perspective."

The band shot over 30 hours of video footage during the trip and plans to release it on DVD.
